INTRODUCTION to the WORD OF YHVH BIBLE
“YHVH bless you, and keep you; YHVH make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; YHVH turn his face toward you, and give you peace.”  (Numbers 6:24-26)
“You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.” (Psalm 73:24)

The Bible opens with the introduction of three persons, YHVH, whose truth and presence created the universe we know and everything beyond, humans who were created by YHVH with the ability of choice, and Satan, the very evil fallen angel whose choice and agenda is always to pervert YHVH’s truth.  The interaction of these three, YHVH, Satan, and humans,  is the core of what the Bible is about.  The bottom line of the contract of human existence is that every human is given a choice of who they will believe.

For some, the Bible can be daunting and grossly misunderstood and misinterpreted, often giving birth to hard-core false interpretations.  Even so, misunderstanding and misinterpretation can be corrected with a change of heart toward YHVH by trusting the truth of his word and of Jesus.  However, hard-core false interpretations might never be corrected in the hearts of those who resolve to follow them.

Simplistic and mythical as it may sound, the central issue of the Bible is the war between YHVH’s truth and Satan’s lies, or good and evil.   Evil began in YHVH’s heavenly realm when the brilliantly beautiful archangel, called Lucifer, conspired to have YHVH’s throne.  Lucifer deceived one third of the angels of heaven into following him and there was war resulting in the renegade angels being cast out of heaven forever.  (Isaiah 14:10-15; Revelation 12:7-12)   In a manner of speaking, the angels were sifted and separated by the loyalty they held.   From the creation of humans to the White Throne Judgement, humans have been, are, and will be sifted and separated by their choices between good and evil.  YHVH and his son, Jesus, are good, Satan is evil, and humans are the pawns tossed about in the sifting process of their choices.

The Bible’s strategically placed cryptic images, metaphors, parables, riddles, and prophecies are also part of the sifting process.  YHVH inspired them to be written and YHVH is the only one who can reveal the truth in them.   YHVH’s counsel is always to be sought for truth, which is the meaning of this verse, “You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.” (Psalm 73:24)

The verses under the following three subheadings are the sum total of the choice of truth and trust in YHVH and Jesus Christ from beginning to end.  Notice that Jesus presented these three to his disciples in the order of importance toward YHVH; attitude, obedience, and acceptance of responsibility to our creator.

I.  The  Lord’s Prayer sums up the attitude expected of believers

9— Therefore, pray after this manner: Our Father who is in heaven, Holy is your name.  10—Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth, as [it is] in heaven.  11—Give us this day our daily bread.  12—And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  13—[You] lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 11: 2-4)

II.  The Ten Commandments first stated in Exodus 20:1-17 sums up the expected obedience of believers.
     1.  You shall have no other gods before Me.
     2.  You shall not make idols in the likeness of that which is in heaven, on
earth, or in the sea (idols)
     3.  You shall not take the authority of YHVH your Elohim falsely.
     4.  Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy
Jesus expressed the first four in this command as: You shall love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  (Matthew 22:37)
5.  Honor your father and your mother
6.  You shall not murder
7.  You shall not commit adultery
8.  You shall not steal
9.  You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
10.  You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or anything that belongs to
him.
Jesus expressed the last six in this command as: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  (Matthew 22:39)

III.  The Great Commission sums up the who, what, why, when, and how of Christian responsibility

YHVH’s word is to be listened to, conveyed to others, and protected from false prophets, as instructed by the Great Commission, which Jesus gave to his disciples after his resurrection from the grave.

18—And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to me in heaven and in the earth.  19—Go accordingly and teach all peoples, immersing them in the authority of the Father and the Son by the Spirit of YHVH.  20—Teach them to be watchmen of all things that I commanded you and know I am with you always, until the end of the world.  Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

What Else Does the Bible Say About Father, Son, and Spirit?

Father, Son, and Spirit are spoken of by John in his first epistle showing unity in the Spirit:  “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”  (1John 5:8)
1.  Of the Spirit of YHVH
a.  The SPIRIT of truth (John 14:15-17)
b.  Teach them that the Spirit of YHVH was poured out at Pentecost
after Jesus ascended into heaven to receive his place as King of all
kings (Acts 2:1-4)
c.  Teach them that through the redeeming blood of Jesus, YHVH, by
His infinite Spirit, is the believers helper, teacher and protector
d.  Teach them that the Spirit of YaHavah is given as a free gift to all
who desire freedom through Jesus Christ.  (John 3:9-21)
-The anointing of the Spirit is the circumcision of the heart
(Deuteronomy 30:6)
e.  Teach them to dedicate life and mind to love, trust, and serve
YaHavah (Exodus 20:1-17)
2.  Of the Father
a.  YHVH is the fountain of living WATER witnessed by his word and his
Spirit.  (Jeremiah 17:13; John 4:10)
b.  Teach them to live by every word that proceeds from His mouth
3.Of the Son
a.  Jesus is the BLOOD of salvation, the Passover lamb
(Revelation 5:6-7; Isaiah 11:1-2)
b.  Teach them about the ransom Jesus paid for our freedom from the
death inherited from Adams sin  (Romans 3:21-26)

The traditional King James version of the Great Commission is stated as:
“And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.”

Unfortunately, the Great Commission has been lowered to a formula for water baptism by most church bodies, when it should be seen as the desire of the Christian heart to share what is known about Jesus’ first coming and the expectation of his second coming.  In point of fact, the Great Commission follows the line of thinking given in the great commandment; “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, and your neighbor as yourself” and   “Love your neighbor enough to share the treasure you found in the Lord.”  (Matthew 22:34-40)

This Bible version
“I [am] YHVH: that [is] my name: and my glory I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8)

The Word of YHVH Bible, (WOYB) is a new version that puts the name of our Creator back in the Bible giving him honor and glory.  In this way the true name of our Creator will be made known throughout the world.  The base Bible text used in this version is the King James Version (KJV).
The presence of the name, YHVH, and title, Elohim, in both the Old Testament (OT) and New Testament (NT), assures the reader of the clear meaning of verse, paragraph, and chapter context.  Resources, such as Strong’s Bible Dictionary, coupled with overall context, were used in making word changes for clarity of meaning.

Reinstating YHVH Elohim in appropriate places throughout the Bible clarifies the difference between Deity and man-made gods (idols).  Strong’s Bible Dictionary reference #H430—Elohim, when used in reference to YHVH means supreme deity.  Elohim appears in the OT  2,601 times.  (2,359  times in reference to YHVH, 240 times in reference to other gods, and 2 times in deference to believers as sons of Elohim)  It is also a plural word form for #H433—eloahh (gods).

In the OT, the Hebrew proper name, YHVH, replaces the fully capitalized, and ambiguous, English words, LORD, GOD, and Jehovah.  In the NT, the Greek word Theos is replaced with YHVH or Elohim, depending on the context of usage, but not when god means idols or other gods.

Regarding the name Jehovah, the New Standard Jewish Encyclopedia reports that “the English transliteration, Jehovah, is a misnomer.”  The misplacement of vowel points was suggested as the reason for the mistake.  The ancient and modern Hebrew alphabet has no vowel letters.  Vowel sounds are indicated by dots and lines or points above or below consonants.  To demonstrate; the root of YHVH is HVH (pronounced hävah) meaning “breath of life.”  The root of Jehovah is HVH (pronounced hōvah) meaning ruin, mischief, or coveting, making the English name, Jehovah, a misnomer and a contradiction to the character of our Creator.

There has been, and is now, much disagreement as to the full spelling and pronunciation of YHVH.  According to Jewish history, the pronunciation of YHVH was too holy to speak, thus it is believed to have been lost long ago.  However, in just two verses YHVH provides the whole meaning, pronunciation, and individuality of his name and person.

14—And Elohim said to Moses, HYH who [is] HVH and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, HVH has sent me to you.  15—And Elohim said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, YHVH Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you, this [is] My name forever, and this [is] my memorial to all generations.” (Exodus 3:14-15)

These are the same verses with “I AM that I AM” in other versions.  The words I AM are ambiguous.  The Israelites knew that HYH (hayah) means “to exist” and HVH (hävah) means “breathe or breath of life.”

In Bible times there was also oppression against the name of YHVH through Greek mythology in the Hellenization of Israel by Greek and Roman world captors.  Before that, oppression came through Babylon, Medo/Persia, and Assyria with their god, Baal.  All who believe in YHVH and Jesus Christ are still under the oppression of a multitude of false interpretations, which is all the more reason to learn, keep, and protect the names of Father and Son who are YaHavah Elohim and Yeshuah HaMachiach (Jesus Christ) until the second coming of Yeshuah.  After he returns and fulfills all prophecy, there will be no question of keeping and protecting the names of Father and Son.

YHVH is our creator, Father of our Savior, and promised comforter and helper by (the causative action of) YHVH’s own infinite Spirit.  The Bible does not say YHVH’s name should not be spoken by all who love and worship him.  Most certainly, he wants to hear his name spoken, for every time he hears his name, it is like speaking a prayer and becomes more and more a part of the speaker.  To call upon the name of YHVH or Yeshuah is to call upon YHVH’s authority.  Just as an official government seal bears the name of the government, the seal of the government of YHVH bears the name of YHVH, the name of the seat of government, and the name of Jesus.  All three names mean the same—YHVH’s righteousness is present.
  • The owners name, YHVH (Exodus 6:2-3)
  • The name of His Holy City, New Jerusalem that means YHVH is our righteousness and YHVH is there.  (Jeremiah 33:16; Hebrews 12:22-24; Ezekiel 48:35)
  • Jesus’ new name, YHVH is our righteousness.  (Jeremiah 23:5-6)

Interpretation controlled by the Spirit of YHVH and Bible Hermeneutics
Hermeneutics is the science and methodology of interpreting texts, especially the books of the Bible.  The process entails several levels of understanding to determine the authors intent.  Applied to the Bible, it means getting into the mind of the author of the Bible, who is YHVH, and requires His consent and presence by His infinite Spirit.

The use of Bible hermeneutics helps to weed out the selfish factor of human understanding.  What remains is a deeper understanding of the personal relationship between YHVH, Jesus Christ, and believer; that perhaps, is the finer point of the Judeo/Christian Bible and purpose of this version of the Bible.
Bible Hermeneutics
Standards:
  • Seek YHVH’s understanding
  • First pray, asking for YHVH’s counsel, wisdom, understanding, and knowledge
  • Allow the Bible to narrate and the Spirit to interpret
  • Test the spirit of applied teachings and doctrines by the Spirit and the Word
Confirmation:
  • Study the context of the passage and the theme of the book
  • Look up the contextual meaning of each in the original languages
--(An online Bible with Strong’s Dictionary Concordance, such as
--E-sword.net is very useful)
--Note the verb tenses, the cases, and other grammar
Learn the cultural setting of the passage
  • Check out cross-references to determine use in other contexts
  • See how the Bible presents the first mention of the word or topic
  • Confirm an interpretation with two or three similar passages
Balance:
  • Spiritual perception over intellectual understanding
  • YHVH’s revelation over human reasoning
  • Genuine love instead of justification of selfishness
  • Christ’s commands over man’s theology
